Who We Are

St Mark’s Anglican Parish is a traditional Anglican Church, a parish of the Diocese of The Holy Cross, affiliated with Forward in Faith, Great Britain.

We worship with a historic Anglican liturgy, which bears witness to the faith and practice of the undivided Church of England, especially concerning apostolic order and matrimony.

We are a community of believers who welcome you to worship, fellowship, and study with us as we continue in the faith of our fathers.

Beginning more than thirty years ago, the Episcopal Church (TEC) began making changes that simply did not fit the guidelines of Holy Scripture. Anglican Christians remain true and worship with the same traditional values that Christians have affirmed for centuries.

********************************************************************************************

We choose to worship from the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and use the 1940 hymnal. Changes were made in the 1979 Prayer Book and the newest Episcopalian hymnal that do not reflect a total commitment to Holy Scripture.

What are some of the ways we differ from TEC? Like the historical Anglican Church, we do not ordain women, we do not accept divorced clergy members, and we do not ordain Priests or consecrate Bishops who engage in any sexual lifestyle inconsistent with Holy Scripture.

We do not compromise key Biblical truths or historical traditions just so we can be “modern.” We believe that Holy Scripture remains relevant to all cultures and all generations. God deserves, and even commands, that we worship Him in Spirit ... but also in truth.
